This week, the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) featured innovative work underway across eight of its bureaus (Commissioner’s Office, Air Management, Central Services, Energy & Technology Policy, Materials Management & Compliance, Natural Resources, Outdoor Recreation, and Water Protection & Land Reuse).
Expert staff presented 45 displays highlighting DEEP’s work, such as:
- Bats Count! Bat Cam,
- Broadband Access,
- Community Resource Hubs,
- Connecticut-led Heat Pump Accelerator Coalition,
- Climate Resilience Fund,
- Environmental Justice Mapping Resources,
- Energy Efficiency Programs and Upgrades,
- Fish Hatchery Energy Efficiency,
- Long Island Sound Nitrogen Removal,
- North Hartford Flooding Reduction, and
- Sustainable Materials Management Pilots.
In addition, outdoor displays showed off DEEP’s mobile air quality monitoring vehicle, emergency response vehicles, and more.
